We continue our conversation with Susan Niebergall, an online strength coach. Today, we focus on the importance and beneficial effects of strength training for women over 50.
We discuss how the act of becoming strong in our bodies, affects our mindset and our confidence. Susan even credits the feeling of power in her body with making her feel strong enough to start a business after the age of 50.
We get into the specifics of how to begin an effective strength training practice - even without access to a personal trainer or a gym.
We concentrate on setting expectations, beginning with the basics and developing a practice with a focus on consistency and injury prevention; or how to modify your practice if you do have chronic injuries or health issues.
